In this unique food tour we will discover the sweet side story of Thessaloniki. You will taste some of the most famous traditional desserts, you will visit some of the oldest pastry shops and you will have the opportunity to indulge into the sweet history of the town. In 3 hours you will visit 4 different venues, taste herbal teas from Mount Olympus as well as Greek coffee, and walk through some of the most central streets of Thessaloniki. An original culinary adventure for everyone to enjoy
Learn the history behind the flavors of Thessaloniki, taste its famous delicacies, walk through the vivid old markets, meet local producers, try some of the best products and drink some ouzo or wine. A food tour that brings the forgotten and unknown tastes of the city into light.
This tour includes a tasting of Greek delicacies in our cooking lab, along with a cup of Greek coffee or herbal tea form the Greek mountains, an introduction to the culinary history of the area and then our walk to the historical center of the city with 6 tasting stops.
Our stops include tastings of different varieties of local cheese, olives, desserts made with honey and nuts, 2 seated stops for some meze and ouzo or wine at a local tavern, sweets, etc. You will definitely skip your lunch break!

Learn to cook Greek
Cooking lessons specialized in the Greek cuisine, where guests will have the opportunity to put their hands in the dough and actively participate in the preparation of each Greek menu. The guests will learn the benefits of the healthy Mediterranean diet and the variety of ingredients and herbs of each region.
Each cooking lesson includes:
– a walk to the markets to buy some of our ingredients before going back to our workshop
– a welcome Greek coffee or herbal tea served with Greek biscuits
– a 2 hour hands-on cooking lesson
– sample menus: pies with handmade dough, meze assortments, meat menus, desert, etc.
– lunch/dinner (depending on the starting time) following the hands-on cooking lesson along with a glass of wine from regional wineries
– a certificate of participation
