PROGRAM
DAY 1 Chania
Arrival in Greece.
Departures from LONDON – PARIS – ROME – MILAN – AMSTERNDAM – BRUSSELS – MUNICH – DUSSELDORF – FRANKFURT – WARSAW – PRAGUE – VIENNA – SOFIA – TIRANA – YERVAN – TBILISI and CYPRUS. Arrival in Chania via Athens internatinal airport. Transfer to your accommodation. Free time. In the afternoon, you will get to know the beautiful city in a walking tour.
This is not a tour with a guide giving you lots of historical information. Instead, it is an escorted privileged tour and the main objective is to visit a few authentic spots in Chania Old Town, to talk with local people and taste traditional cretan products and wine.
We will help you to see, how the locals life is and to feel as a local for a few hours.
We have carefully selected sites all easily accessible. Our selection includes Venetian, Turkish and Greek monuments.
We will guide you along the picturesque narrow streets with a tour escort who will take you to special spots to take some spectacular photos and presents the most famous sights to you.
During your walking tour we will stop frequently to talk with locals.The food tasting will be at a restaurant to be more comfortable for you. You will taste local products as, “koulouri”, “kalitsounia”, “graviera”, “mizithra”, “Cretan salad”, “local olives”, “boureki”, “pastitsio” fresh tomatoes and local Cretan honey.
The tour includes a wine tasting also. Our partner will serve you 4 different Cretan wines from indigenous varieties of grapes.

We suggest you to try, the sea food at all times of the year, next to the sea. Overnight.
DAY 2 Rethymnon
Breakfast at the hotel.
Are you ready for the most exciting route in the history of Rethymno?
Get your camera ready, put on your headphones, get into the browsing mood and… off we go!
We start from Agnostou Stratiotis square and take Eleftheriou Venizelou street following the coastal road, pass the port and reach the imposing Venetian castle of Fortezza, where we make our first stop.
We continue along the coastline until we reach the entrance of the old town, where today the historical building of the Vice-region of Crete is located.
After a few hundred meters we turn left and enter Igumenou Gavriel Avenue to reach the majestic Municipal Garden, our third stop.
From there, we follow Moatsou, Zimvrakaki and Emmanuel Portaliou streets, passing through the heart of Rethymno, and we reach BIO, the old core factory.
The next stop takes us back to the coastal road, where we come across the Caretta-Caretta A and B nests, created to protect this endangered species.
At this point, it’s time to leave the city behind and head south-east towards the enchanting hinterland.
Our seventh stop is the Monastery of Panagia Halevi (16th century) with its wonderful flame-shaped windows. Next stop the Mills, a verdant gorge, once full of watermills, right next to the now abandoned settlement.
Continuing through the wild vegetation we reach the historic village of Chromonastiri, once a fortress settlement.
Do not leave Chromonastiri without visiting the military museum with various exhibits from the struggles of the Cretan people.
Then we head to Roussospiti, which is also called “balcony of Rethymno” thanks to its breathtaking view.
The last stop on our route is one of the oldest women’s monasteries in Crete, the Monastery of Agia Irini (13th century). Return to the city of Chania, free time. Overnigth.
DAY 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is a free day for activities. Make the most of your time in the city center, or join us on a full-day excursion to Knossos. (optional participation)
DAY 4
Breakfast at the accommodation. At a predetermined time, you will meet with our representative, for your transfer to the airport, for the return flight.
You can add as many days as you wish to the destination. You can also choose some of the suggested experiences, located in the upper right part of the page you were on.

DAY 4H
If there is time available, we suggest taking advantage of it in the city center. Our partner will be waiting for you at your hotel reception in order to take you to the airport for your return flight.
